About

It all begins with a passion.
For Robert Garnich, that passion first took shape in the kitchen, where he spent more than 25 years as a chef in his own restaurant. But creativity has many forms, and in 1995 he decided it was time to fully devote himself to another art.

Always drawn to the rich possibilities of oil painting, he studied painting and drawing at the Academy of Antwerp. Over the years, his work has evolved into a refined exploration of grey tones, a palette that brings female forms to life with a striking, almost photographic presence.

Born in Brasschaat, Belgium in 1946, Robert continues his journey as an artist—transforming fascination into expression, and technique into timeless images.
